Starting with Cava Packager release 2.0.55, different versions of Cava Packager can co-exist on the same machine. Running a new version of Cava Packager will no longer clobber the installation data for a previous version.
Custom global rules that you have created will be copied to the new version of Cava Packager on first startup. Custom global rules that you create after this will be version specific. That is, they will only be stored for the Cava Packager version under which you create them.
Projects are still version specific. If you open a project, it will auto update to the latest version of Cava Packager. You will then no longer be able to open it with older versions of Cava Packager.
Versions of Cava Packager prior to 2.0.55 offer the Project -> Clone option to create a new copy of your project. You may wish to make a copy of an existing project using your prior version of Cava Packager before opening with the new version of Cava Packager.
Versions of Cava Packager from 2.0.55 also offer the Project -> Export option which you may use to achieve the same result.
