When you create or amend Global Module Rules your changes are saved to your local installation. You can export the rules you have created to a distributable rule file that can then be imported into any installation of Cava Packager.
Import Module Rules
Import a rule file exported using the option above.
Check For Rule Updates
The default set of system rules is evolving and expanding over time. Select this option to check if an updated set of system rules is available and install the latest rules. By default, Cava Packager checks for updated module rules each time you start the application. You can enable or disable this behaviour using Global Preferences
When connecting to the server to check for rule updates, Cava Packager will use the environment variable HTTP_PROXY if present.
Get Cava::Packager utility code
Occasionally the automated installation of the Cava::Packager utility code may fail. This option allows you to export a standard distribution of the code that you may install in the standard methods: Perl Makefile.PL : make .
Check For Application Updates
Use this option to check if an updated release of the Cava Packager application is available.
When connecting to the server to check for application updates, Cava Packager will use the environment variable HTTP_PROXY if present.
Project Diagnostic Report
If you have a project open, you can use this option to produce a project diagnostic report. This is intended to assist in diagnosing problems.
The report will include details of your Perl, Cava Packager Installation and the last scan and build logs. The information is provided in plain text. You can edit and add your own notes before copying to the clipboard or saving to a file.
